
Twenty-two co-workers share $99 million jackpot in Ohio

The winners of Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot wasted no time to make their claim. Late this morning, 22 members of a KraftMaid work pool, came to the Ohio Lottery’s Youngstown regional office to make their claim on the $99 million Mega Millions jackpot prize. The winning ticket was sold at the Speedway located at 149 North Chestnut Street in Jefferson. The winners are:

The winners, most who work together doing logistics and customer service-related work at KraftMaid, told Ohio Lottery officials that they had been playing together for quite awhile. As a group, they said they were still in shock. Paying off bills was top-of-mind for each of the winners. The winners used the auto lotto feature to choose their winning numbers, which were: 6-24-28-33-42 + 19. Speedway receives a $99,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. It is the 16th Mega Millions jackpot ticket sold by an Ohio Lottery retailer since Ohio joined the Mega Millions game in May 2002. The winners chose the cash option, and will each receive approximately $2 million after federal and state tax withholdings. ($65.4 million gross total payment; $45.1 million net, split by 22 persons.) They will receive payment in approximately four weeks.
