The Mega Millions jackpot will be an estimated $55 million ($35 million cash option) for the next drawing on Tuesday, October 6. No ticket matched all six numbers drawn in Friday night’s drawing – 4, 14, 29, 31 and 47, plus the Mega Ball 9.
There were three tickets that matched the five white balls, just missing the Mega Ball for the jackpot. Tickets sold in Georgia and Michigan won $1 million each, while a ticket sold in Pennsylvania included the optional Megaplier, boosting its value to $2 million after the 2X Megaplier was drawn.
It’s the 13th time this year that a Match 5 winning ticket has included the extra $1 Megaplier purchase, which multiplies the value of all non-jackpot prizes.
The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won in New York on September 11.
