$24 Million Mega Millions Jackpot Hit in Maryland

(Baltimore) – For the first time in almost a year, the Mega Millions jackpot came home to Maryland.  Last night’s drawing was worth $24 million, with a cash option of $15 million.  The winning numbers were 22, 23, 28, 49, 52 and Mega Ball 02. 

Last night’s winning ticket was purchased yesterday at Carroll’s Station located at 1415 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.  The owner will receive $25,000 for selling the ticket.  Since there was a winner, Friday night’s jackpot will be $12 million. 

Maryland has seen an abundant amount of Mega Millions winners this year.  Since January, we’ve had 26 second-tier $250,000 winners and 150 third-tier $10,000 winners.


The multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 12 states -- Maryland, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Washington, Texas and California.  Mega Millions drawings are broadcast on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 11:22 pm on WBAL-TV, Channel 11 and at 11:30 pm on Maryland Public Television.
