The excitement is building as the Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow! No ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing – the white balls 9, 31, 34, 41 and 49, plus the Mega Ball 8 – so the jackpot for the next drawing on Friday, June 3, is an estimated $251 million ($162 million cash). That gets into Top 20 territory – it’s one of the top 20 largest jackpots since Mega Millions began! As always, tickets cost just $1.
There were two Match 5 winning tickets drawn May 31, worth $1 million each, sold in Georgia and Texas. In addition, more than two million tickets won prizes at all other levels, from $5,000 down to $1 (or from $25,000 to $5 if the ticket included the optional Megaplier, since the 5x Megaplier was drawn.)
The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won in Washington on March 8 – that $157 million prize was claimed by Michael Burkett with a ticket he purchased in the Seattle area.
