Another Mega Millions jackpot winner in Illinois!

$262 million winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Blue Island

Blue Island, IL - If you recently bought a Mega Millions ticket in Blue Island, you may want to check your numbers right away! A Blue Island store sold the $262,000,000 jackpot winning ticket for last night’s Mega Millions drawing. This is the second-largest prize in Illinois Lottery history!

The winner, who has yet to come forward, purchased their winning ticket at Super Mercado Imelda, 13036 South Western Avenue and matched all six numbers - 02 - 09 - 11 - 22 - 23 - (12) - to win the $260,000,000 jackpot in the Tuesday, June 2 Mega Millions drawing. The retailer will receive a $500,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to immediately sign the back of their ticket, keep it in a safe place, and call the Illinois Lottery - (217) 524-5158 - as soon as possible. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

This is the second recent Mega Millions jackpot win in Illinois this year! A Naperville resident won the $265,000,000 jackpot prize in the Friday, January 16, 2015 Mega Millions drawing with a Quick Pick ticket purchased at Bucky’s Express, 1202 South Bloomingdale Road, in Glendale Heights.
