The Mega Millions jackpot continues to roll, as no ticket matched all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing – 17, 41, 51, 53 and 56, plus the Mega Ball of 15. The estimated jackpot for next Tuesday, November 3, is $144 million ($89 million cash).
One ticket, sold in South Carolina, did match the five white balls, and because the purchase included the optional Megaplier, the ticket is worth a whopping $5 million. That is the 14th time this year that a Match 5 winning ticket was multiplied by the Megaplier – and the eighth time this year that it has been worth $5 million.
The jackpot has been rolling since it was won in New York on September 11. The winners of that $106 million prize were just announced on Thursday – a group of five friends from Yonkers, N.Y., and Basking Ridge, N.J.
