The estimated Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday, February 18, is $154 million, its highest level since mid-November. The cash option is an estimated $84 million. The jackpot has been rolling since it was last hit for $61 million on January 3.
For the Valentine’s Day drawing, no ticket correctly selected all six winning numbers (20, 28, 35, 71 and 72, plus the Mega Ball 7). Two lucky tickets hit the first five numbers but not the Mega Ball, one each in California and New York.
Since the game was relaunched in October, there have been 81 Match 5 winners of $1 million or more (California Match 5 tickets win a pari-mutuel prize that may be different). Four of those included the optional Megaplier, producing two prizes of $5 million and one each at $4 million and $3 million.
