INDIANAPOLIS – A winning ticket in the estimated $540 million Mega Millions drawing was sold in Indiana. One ticket matched all six numbers in the July 8, 2016 drawing. The winning numbers for the July 8, 2016 drawing are: 8-19-20-55-73. The Mega Ball number is 5. The winning ticket was purchased at the Speedway at 1589 N State Road 1 in Cambridge City, IN. More information will be released as it becomes available.
The $540 million estimated jackpot is the third largest in the history of the game and offers the winner the chance to take payment of the estimated $540 million as a 30-year annuity or in a one-time lump sum estimated payment of $380 million (both before taxes).
Mega Millions jackpot odds are 1 in 258,890,850. Overall odds are 1 in 15.
