How To Claim
Any prize that is less than $600 may be claimed at any New Hampshire Lottery Retailer. If you possess a winning ticket for a prize of $600 or more OR multiple tickets whose prizes add up to $600 or more, regardless of the game, you may claim it at the New Hampshire Lottery® Headquarters or you may claim it by mail.

Every time a Mega Millions® ticket is purchased in New Hampshire, all profits remain in the state and are earmarked for education.
Since 1964, the New Hampshire Lottery has had a significant financial impact on the state. For the past 45 years, the New Hampshire Lottery has recorded $4.1 billion in lottery sales and other earnings, with $2.7 billion being paid in prizes and other cost of sales. Net proceeds to education to date total more than $1.3 billion.
Tax Information
There is a federal tax withholding of 25% for any winnings over $5,000. The top federal graduated tax rate is 35%. Lottery winners may be at a tax rate other than the 25% withholding rate. Non-Resident of the United States will have a 30% tax withholding for any winnings over $599.
As of July 1, 2009, the State of New Hampshire signed into law a 10% gambling tax that is withheld from all lottery winnings of $600 or more.
