How To Claim

Prizes over $5000 must be claimed at the Vermont Lottery Headquarters in Berlin, Vermont.
Prizes of $500 to $5000 may be claimed at the Vermont Lottery Headquarters in Berlin, Vermont or at any People's United Bank located in Vermont.
Prizes of $499 or less may be claimed at the Vermont Lottery Headquarters in Berlin, Vermont or at any authorized Vermont Lottery Agent.

Beneficiary Information

All profits of the Vermont Lottery go to the Vermont Education Fund.

Retailer Bonus Structure

Agents will receive a 6% commission on Mega Millions sales. Agents also get a 1% bonus for selling a winning ticket of $500 or more (capped at $30,000 bonus) when the ticket is claimed.

Tax Information

Lottery winnings over $5,000 are subject to Federal Income Tax Withholding of at least 25% and Vermont State Income Tax Withholding of at least 6%.
