Check Your Tickets: $1 Million Prize in Rhode Island About to Expire

Cranston, R.I. - A winning $1 million Mega Millions® prize is about to expire this month. The winning Mega Millions Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Season’s Corner Market, 780 Great Rd., North Smithfield, R.I., on March 14, 2020, for the drawing on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2020.
The ticket matched all five numbers, but not the Mega Ball number, for the $1 million win. The winning numbers for the March 17, 2020, drawing were 20, 27, 28, 58, 59, and the Mega Ball number was 25. The winner has until Saint Patrick’s Day this year, March 17, 2021, to claim the prize.
Melissa Juhnowski, Rhode Island Lottery spokesperson, reminds players, “Check your glove compartment and your dresser drawers for any Mega Millions tickets you might not have checked yet. In all Mega Millions drawings, there are eight other prizes besides the jackpot that you can win, including this $1 million prize!”
In addition to this prize, there is an unclaimed $100,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® ticket and a $20,000 Mega Millions® Megaplier® ticket sold in Rhode Island. The draw dates and Retailers selling those tickets are listed below:

Archives for the past twelve months of drawings can be found on the Rhode Island Lottery’s Website Winning Numbers pages. Players can also check their tickets using the free Rhode Island Lottery mobile app or by entering the serial number on the Lottery's website, rilot.com/ticketchecker. Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their ticket. Any prizes that go unclaimed will be turned over to the State’s General Fund.
