$33 Million Mega Millions® Jackpot Prize Claimed

DORCHESTER, Mass. – Skylark Group Trust of Wellesley has claimed a $33 million Mega Millions® jackpot prize won in the multi-state game’s Tuesday, January 24 drawing.

Skylark Group Trust, represented by trustee David M. Lipshutz, chose the cash option on its prize and received a one-time payment of $17,441,861 (before taxes). The prize was claimed Wednesday, March 1 at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester.

The advertised jackpot for this drawing was an estimated $31 million, which grew to $33 million after actual sales from all participating lotteries were calculated.

The winning numbers on the lucky Quic Pic ticket that was purchased at Stop & Shop located at 40 George Hannum Street in Belchertown were 33-41-47-50-62, MegaBall 20. Stop & Shop receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of the winning ticket.

A $31 million Mega Millions jackpot prize won in Massachusetts in the Tuesday, January 31 drawing remains unclaimed. This ticket was sold at Gibbs located at 107 Winn St. in Woburn.

This is only the second time in Mega Millions history that one lottery has had two jackpot winners in a span of three drawings.

These are the fourth and fifth Mega Millions jackpots won in Massachusetts since 2002, when the game expanded and its name was changed from The Big Game to Mega Millions.

The largest jackpot ever won in any game in Massachusetts is a $758.7 million Powerball jackpot won in the August 23, 2017 drawing. That ticket was sold at Pride Station & Store in Chicopee.
