TALLAHASSEE – Today, the Florida Lottery (Lottery) announces that Saltines Holdings, LLC has claimed the monumental MEGA MILLIONS® jackpot of $1.6 billion from the drawing held on August 8, 2023. The winner chose to receive the winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $794,248,882.00.

The winning ticket, which matched all five of the white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number, was claimed at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. This series of 32 rollovers from April to August has not only captured national attention but has also contributed a staggering $73.4 million to further education in Florida.

The winning MEGA MILLIONS Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Publix, located at 630 Atlantic Boulevard in Neptune Beach. The retailer received a $100,000 bonus commission for selling the winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket.
