RELEASE DATE: 6/21/2025
For the first time since the new Mega Millions® launched in April, a drawing has produced three Match 5 winning tickets – one each at $2 million, $3 million and $4 million! These tickets for the June 20 drawing were sold in Georgia, Washington and New Jersey, respectively.
With the random multiplier now included with every purchase, the June 20 drawing alone generated total prize winnings of more than $15 million across all prize tiers. It’s by far the most non-jackpot prizes won in a single drawing since the game changed, and more than 3.6 times what the prize value would have been under the previous $2 game prize structure.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Ohio on April 18; that $112 million prize was claimed by The Ironwood Family Trust.
The jackpot continues rolling and is estimated at $326 million ($145.7 million cash) for the next drawing on Tuesday, June 24.

Tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets are $5 each and include a randomly assigned multiplier, multiplying the base prize levels by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X. Half of the proceeds from the sale of each Mega Millions ticket remains in the state where the ticket was sold, where the money supports designated good causes and retailer commissions.
Drawings are conducted at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays and Fridays in Atlanta, Georgia. The overall odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 23; the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336.
