Arkansas winner claims $3 million Mega Millions prize

March 18, 2014 - Miranda Huffman, of Lepanto, Ark., won a whopping $3 million on a Mega Millions ticket purchased at Jordan’s Kwik Stop #14 in Lepanto, for the March 14 draw. She claimed her prize with her husband Jeff and her family. It was the first Mega Millions ticket she had ever bought for herself!

Fortunately, she added the Megaplier option, so the regular Match 5 $1 million prize turned into a $3 million windfall when the 3x Megaplier was drawn. Her ticket matched the first five numbers drawn (7, 20, 40, 54 and 69), just missing the Mega Ball number.

Huffman first told her father about her good fortune, and plans to build a house with her winnings.
