Quick claim for a $1 million prize

March 29, 2017 – David Breen of Middleboro, Mass., is the winner of a $1 million Mega Millions prize after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those drawn in the multi-state game’s drawing held Tuesday, March 28.

Breen, who has 16 grandchildren, promptly visited the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Braintree headquarters Wednesday morning to claim his $1,000,000 prize (less tax withholdings). He purchased his winning ticket at Hannaford supermarket, 8 Merchants Way in Middleboro. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

There were no jackpot winners in Tuesday’s drawing. The estimated jackpot for Friday’s drawing is $174 million, while the cash option is an estimated $106.4 million.
