RELEASE DATE: 7/19/2017
The 20th largest Mega Millions jackpot in the game’s 15 year history will be up for grabs on Friday night! No ticket matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday, July 18 – the white balls 8, 12, 23, 51 and 73, plus the Mega Ball 6. The July 21 prize will be an estimated $248 million ($153 million cash).
There was one ticket, sold in Michigan, that matched the five white balls to win $1 million Tuesday night.
The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on April 28, when David Trapp won a $61 million prize in California. Two other jackpots have also been awarded this year – $191 million to Jack Freney, also in California, and $177 million to Texan Eliberto Cantu with a ticket he purchased in Arkansas.
As this jackpot run progresses, to date there have been more than 29.9 million prizes won at all levels since April 28, including 34 prizes of $1 million or more. Since January 1, more than 72.2 million winning tickets have been sold; 62 of those have been worth $1 million or more.
