The Mega Millions jackpot is growing! After no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Friday night, the jackpot will be an estimated $222 million ($130 million cash) for the next drawing on Tuesday, February 27. The winning numbers for February 23 are the white balls 7, 11, 13, 19 and 58, plus the gold Mega Ball 9.
If won, next Tuesday’s $222 million prize would be the 24th largest jackpot in the history of Mega Millions.
Three tickets matched the five white balls Friday night to win the game’s second prize. Two were sold in New York to win $1 million each. The third, sold in Illinois, included the optional Megaplier (a $1 extra purchase, available in most states) and is worth $4 million after the 4x Megaplier was drawn.
The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on January 5 at $451 million; a 20-year-old Florida man claimed that prize as the trustee of Secret 007, LLC. Since that time, there have been more than 6.4 million winning tickets at all prize levels, including 19 worth $1 million or more.
